Black Star
one of my personal top shows at bonnaroo this year (hold steady & spoon hold the top slots) gillian welch really surprised and pleased us with a fantastic sounding set. i had a couple of spine-tinging moments, partially because i didn't know what to expect...first of all, i didn't realize she performed with david rawlings and then when she dazzled us with this radiohead cover that i've grown to love, it was a real treat. someone posted it, you just have to get past the poster's warbling. really, though, it pasted a huge smile on my face that first day.

Thanks for the post! Gillian Welch is amazing. I highly recommend her "Time (The Revelator)" album. Top 10!
oh yeah, she brought that one out, too! seriously her entire set was amazing, i'm right there with ya on that one! i'd really love to see them perform again sometime.
