I saw them last Thursday and they were terrific. At the end Britt cooly asked if anyone had any grass. It blew my mind, being that it was at Summerfest with a billion policemen around. I was starting to get paranoid.
on another note they are playing SCHUBAS this friday! the downside: you can only win tickets. that would be so awesome ... tyger, i read this review of their show at SF. wtf??
Though their simple songs about love and life were recognized by the crowd, Texas indie rockers Spoon failed to create anything beyond a slight stir Thursday at the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage. From early numbers including "Someone Something" and "Don't Make Me a Target," the group's set was just too slow for anyone other than die-hard fans, of which there were few. The sound mix was also a bit off. High points from the underwhelming hourlong show included "Got 2 Get You Back" and "Stay Don't Go."
