Last night I had a dream that I was working in a large corporation. The whole company was abuzz with a rumor that our CEO -- and ruler of the universe -- was coming for a rare visit. Our CEO? Darth Vader.
When Lord Vader arrived, everyone assembled in a large auditorium. Why were we there? Were we going to be vaporized? Had our intergalactic stock taken a dive? Vader instructed us all to look up at a small light. We were terrified. And then we realized it was a camera. He then told us that on the count of three, everyone was to yell, "Happy anniversary Mrs. Vader!" for a video anniversary greeting he was creating for his wife. What a relief!
What does this have to do with anything? Not much. Except that you can check out the new Tokyo Police Club (otherwise known to us forever more as Tokyo Fight Club) video for "Citizens of Tomorrow" -- their vision of a not-to-distant dystopia, not unlike my dream -- here. Enjoy, and keep up the good work. You never know when the boss is gonna drop by.

this blog entry is truly what dreams are made of. i wish all further stories could contain the same passion, enthusiasm and scary details from the not-too-distant future.
actually, i don't think my words can put these dreams into something as heartfelt as heard right here:

My favorite! You know me far too well. BTW, Ann Wilson has a solo album coming out September 27 called "Hope and Glory." Her myspace page has a preview -- her cover of Zepplin's "Immigrant Song."
I hate to say it, but it's, um...terrible.
