Tomorrow!

Friends, tomorrow is wonderful! Why, you ask? Well, as Little Orphan Annie famously sang, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be new releases that, hopefully, will melt your brain with awesomeness and give you a reason to keep yourself alive, at least for one more day.

So say hello to the new babies. Hopefully they will be adorable and not crap all over themselves and us:

Caribou: Andorra

M.I.A: Kala

New Pornographers: Challengers

Rilo Kiley: Under The Blacklight

There's also a live Flaming Lips album/DVD coming out, if anyone is into that.

I'm looking forward to Kala and Challengers... hows about yous?

I think Challengers is a happy-go-lucky baby, easy on the ears ... I streamed Under the Blacklight from RK's myspace page today, and from what I heard, it is mostly adorable with just a few crappy diapers along the way. Favorite - Silver Lining. Growing on me - Moneymaker. Anyone know if Neko Case is touring with the NP's this fall?

I think Neko will be at some of the dates at least -- she was when I saw them in July, and is scheduled to be at the upcoming Webster Hall shows, as is Dan Bejar.

Another album out today that I've been streaming: The Mendoza Line's "30 Year Low." I guess I'm late to the party with this band since this is their last. It "marks the end of band-mates Tim Bracy and Shannon McArdle's marriage and artistic collaboration." Bet that's a real uplifter!

yeah,i saw that link but i wonder if that means she will be on ALL of their tour dates or just specific cities? btw - i don't know if i'm the only one here who likes RK but i cannot get that song "15" out of my head; it's typical RK: sleazy, sweet. oh, whomever posted that link thanks but i can't get it to work so i'll actualy buy (gasp!) the album and post...

Annie looks a little like Ricky Gervais.
